"Make Me Cry" is a poem I wrote in the early 1970s when I lived in Lapa, in a small apartment I shared with two friends. It was my bohemian days in Rio de Janeiro. It was one of those early mornings when we end the night alone and half-drunk, wishing the night would never end so we could work out our problems with ourselves. Thus was born the poem, and from it the song. I hope you enjoy it.
